The Question of the Day – the question on everyone’s mind is, “why classified documents?”

If the Democrats, having understandably decided that it is finally time to throw Joe Biden under the bus, are looking for the perfect method to get popular support for his ejection from office, why use classified document abuse as the justification?

Nobody knows for sure, of course.

You can’t read Democrats’ minds, for obvious reasons. But there has to be a reason they chose this one, out of all the issues at hand that would justify his departure.

He could, and certainly should, be thrown out on 25th Amendment grounds.

Every observer knows that this usurper’s mental deterioration is proceeding at a fast clip. Every interaction with the press demonstrates that he is the textbook case of a 25th Amendment removal.

The problem for the Democrats is that everyone in the country knew that he had this condition before he ever won the primaries.

To acknowledge his mental incapacitation now would be to admit the party’s own malevolence in intentionally advancing a malleable, incompetent candidate in the first place.

The Democrats therefore cannot remove him on those grounds. It indicts the entire Democrat leadership, if not their entire voter base as well.

Joe Biden could also be impeached by Congress, perhaps for the crime of willfully worsening the nation’s national security; by failing to protect the border, and therefore by intentionally flooding the country with illegal aliens; and with all the diseases and crime sprees that accompany such crowds.

If the House succeeds in passing an impeachment on these grounds, the Senate will be forced to vote on it. Democrats in the Senate are terrified of the thought of explaining either vote in their next reelection campaigns: a vote to impeach dooms them with their Democrat base, and a vote to acquit would doom them with Republicans and independents.

But the border isn’t the only policy that provides grounds for an impeachment.

Republicans could move to impeach on the basis of Biden’s illegal executive orders, such as the termination of legitimate business contracts in the keystone pipeline (which also rightly prompted embarrassing disputes with our neighbor, Canada); and the emptying of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, necessitating refilling at peak prices; the appointment of not just incompetent, but plainly anti-American appointees throughout his regime; the abuse of spending bills by using the federal budget as a cash cow to reward unions, left-wing interest groups, and the corrupt political machines in America’s big cities with misnamed handouts.

All these, and many more, could be grounds for impeachment, because each one includes numerous high crimes, from violations of the Hatch Act to abuse of executive authority, to clear violations of the Constitution and diminishment of our national security.

But the Democrats cannot allow such an impeachment to go forward; they simply must cut it off at the pass. Each such issue exposes the complicity of the entire modern Democratic Party.

It is not Joe Biden alone who breaks the law, after all: it is Democrat Party policy to break the law. It has been for years.

So, the powers that be, the Democrat machers who realize the need to remove this millstone from the party’s neck as quickly as possible – settled on the classified document story as the perfect solution to their conundrum.

What could be better? Rather than pulling down the entire regime with him, Joe Biden’s illegal retention of classified documents following his vice presidency would involve only him, and perhaps a tiny number of his close aides.

While everything else makes the entire Democratic Party look bad, faulting Biden for improper handling of documents isolates Biden alone, and better yet, it sounds like the “good government” thing to do.

The Democrat machers really thought this through.

If they can force Biden to resign due to this particular scandal, the rest of the Democratic Party is untouched; their myriad policy evils are uninvolved; and it even helps the Democrats disprove one of the Right’s most effective and clearly legitimate arguments: the existence of a double standard in law enforcement.

Just imagine, the Democrats attacked Trump for alleged mishandling of documents, and now they might throw out their own sitting president for what looks to the layman like exactly the same crime. Wouldn’t that be a feather in their caps, making them look like the honorable party, making them look like heroes?

It really was a brilliantly thought-out idea. Give the Democrats credit for a strategy; Republicans would never have come up with such a brilliant solution.

Perhaps, in light of all this, the Democrats can be forgiven if they never realized how the exposure of all these hidden documents would reveal a smoking gun in the form of the Biden family corruption racket — the massive bribery schemes at the heart of the Joe Biden family’s long-standing “business contracts for access” rackets with China and Ukraine; not to mention literal, precise proof of just how exactly Hunter Biden was delivering his famous “10 percent to the big guy” in the form of $49,000 rent payments for a house with a certain, now very famous, garage-kept Corvette.

Oh well. As the Scots would say, even the best laid plans of mice and men go oft astray.
